You may have noticed the mess at our pond area. This is only temporary. The
developer, who has done such a wonderful job expanding Waterford Oaks, is again
going one step further for us, by dredging our pond. This is greatly needed as
all the development around the pond in recent years has caused a lot of soil to
run down making the pond very shallow. The project is expected to take about 8
weeks.
Also, the city has about $70,000 set aside for improvements to our pond area.
Part of that we expect will go toward a new gazebo!
Stay tuned as things just keep getting better and better in Waterford Oaks!

Waterford Oaks Crime Watch will host our neighborhood picnic on Saturday, July
23rd beginning at 1:00p.m. Everybody is invited so mark your calendars for this
special event!
Look for our flyers to be distributed soon with more details. Come out, meet
your neighbors, relax, and have some fun!
Also, we would like all of our neighbors to be vigilant and aware of the ongoing
vandalism to our entryways. At the Waterford Oaks Blvd entrance, vandals have
been putting soap in the
fountain causing it to foam up. At the Calvert entrance, vandals have been
damaging the controls to the sprinkler system. Please be aware that these things
have been put in place using your tax dollars and it takes your tax dollars to
repair them each time they are damaged.
The
Board will finalize the 2005/2006 Budget at the upcoming meeting.
Annual Board elections will be coming up in September. All Waterford Oaks
homeowners are eligible to run for a position on this Board. Consider
being an active part of making
Waterford Oaks one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Cedar Hill. More
information will follow regarding the election procedures.
At
our upcoming meeting, there will be a public hearing regarding our budget for
next year. Also, Steve Meadors, Director of the Parks Department, will be there
to tell us about their
plans for our pond area. Come meet your Board of Directors and share your ideas
about how we can make Waterford Oaks one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in
Cedar Hill.
We
are so excited to have completed our second big capital project in the
neighborhood – the Calvert Fence – what a dramatic improvement to the entry!
It will probably be next year when we will install the irrigation along the
fence and plant some trees in the insets, to further enhance the Calvert Entry
to Waterford Oaks.
